2024 New Volunteers
Eileen W
Says, I'm looking forward to the Guild Hall Volunteer program. Having lived in East Hampton for about 40 years, I've enjoyed the many offerings of Guild Hall. After retiring from a career in luxury retail, I've found time to take art classes at The Art Barge, Golden Eagle, LongHouse Reserve and have even participated in the Guild Hall Members Show. Friends have mentioned this program which prompted me to join.
East Hampton
Marilyn R
Says, I've been coming out east since I was a single young lady working in Manhattan. I had a group house in Southampton; built a house in East Hampton with my husband: after 22 years my husband and I downsized, we'll always remain in East Hampton as it is our community, even though the area has changed significantly over the past 5-6 years. Now retired, I want to give back to our community, and what better way than volunteer with Guild Hall. Also looking forward to many interesting art events and garden tours. We are very fortunate to live in such a beautiful area of the country.
East Hampton
Susan S
Says, My love for the arts and the East End began when I spent my summers growing up in Amagansett. My mother, an artist, was very involved with Guild Hall, and the overall art scene in the 70's. My interests include live music, beauty in nature, traveling and fun. I feel like I've come full circle, returning to the East End after all these years, and immersing myself in the art, culture, and beauty that abounds. I look forward to volunteering and helping .
East Hampton
Maya T
Says, I am an aspiring artist looking to immerse myself in the arts and opportunities around me. I strive towards exposure to as many new people and experiences as possible due to my love of new adventures. I love to travel-especially to my native country of the Dominican Republic. I am a Class of 2026 student of East Hampton High School where I participate in several clubs, events, and positions where I utilize my creativity. As an active participant of the Century Club at EHHS, and its VP for the 2024-25 school year, in addition to my love of art, this Guild Hall opportunity gives me a chance to play an active role in my artistic development while also helping our community this summer and hopefully in many years to come! With this new opportunity, I hope to expand my knowledge and approach to the arts and what they mean to me.
Montauk
Ellen H
Says, I am happy to be part of the volunteer program this summer. Let's see a few word-my husband Brian and I first came to the Hamptons in 1978 and haven't missed a season. Started in Southampton winding our way east buying a small house in Watermill then a barn in Bridgehampton next by the beach in Sagaponack and now living in East Hampton not far from Guild Hall. We all know what a special place the Hamptons is. With a friend we pitched an idea about writing a book on the Hamptons in the year 2000 and we enjoyed the process photographing and writing so much. Our publisher was happy with the results so we did a second book aligned perfectly in size with the first so it would look good on a coffee table...it's all about the visual! I've always loved the garden and art tours. That's why the Hamptons is so fantastic even though almost 50 years ago it was much easier to get around in little time, But, it's still the best place I know.
East Hampton
Tucker R
Says, Longtime resident of Sag Harbor, a trustee of the Sag Harbor Historical Museum, with interests in preservation and gardening. My work background is as a home design and crafts editor for magazines and newspapers. Recently I authored the book, Images of America: Sag Harbor. We are fortunate to have the cultural experiences that Guild Hall's exhibits and events offer and I am looking forward to becoming more involved.

Educated at Pratt Institute as a Graphic Designer and spent 10 years in the business. With a masters in art education, taught in public education. From an early age creating art was my way of self meditation. Retired now 5 years and a move to EH to create art for myself and local art exhibits.
